How to switch between light, dark, or system theme
Working in Sugester should be comfortable for your eyes, regardless of the time of day or the lighting in your office. That’s why we’ve prepared a simple way to switch between the system color themes. You can change the interface appearance at any time by choosing one of the three available modes: light (ideal for working in daylight), dark (great for evening work marathons, reducing eye strain), or system mode.
How to change the color theme?
The change is instant and available in the main menu:
- Click on the system name (Sugester) visible in the upper left corner of the screen.
- At the very bottom of the dropdown menu, you will find three icons corresponding to the display mode.
- Choose the one that suits you best:
- ☀️ Light mode: Classic, white interface.
- 🌙 Dark mode: Dark background with light elements - ideal for working in the evening or in poorly lit rooms, to reduce eye strain.
- 💻 System mode: Sugester will automatically adjust its appearance to your operating system settings (if you have dark mode enabled in Windows or macOS, Sugester will also switch to dark).
Why is it worth using this feature?
Changing the theme is not just a matter of aesthetics. It’s primarily about taking care of your comfort:
- Less eye strain: Switching to dark mode at the end of the day can provide relief for your eyes.
- Adaptation to the environment: In a bright, sunny office, light mode will ensure better readability, while in a darker room, dark mode will be less glaring.
- Individual preferences: Each of us has different tastes – in Sugester, we do not impose a single appearance; you decide in what “environment” you work best.
Tip: Don’t be afraid to experiment! If you haven’t done so yet, try dark mode during your next evening login - many of our users claim that after switching to this mode, working after dark has become much more enjoyable.
