Widget WebChat — live chat configuration

The WebChat widget is a chat window embedded on your website. It allows customers to contact you in real-time without leaving the page.

Name

The name of the widget visible in the admin panel. If you have multiple widgets (e.g., for different pages), the name helps to distinguish them.

Active

Turns the widget on or off. An inactive widget does not appear on the page.

Responsible

The default consultant assigned to conversations from this widget. If set, new conversations go to them first.

Sound Notifications

Enables sound for new messages from customers. Helps consultants not to miss conversations.

First Name Only

Displays only the consultant’s first name (without the last name) in the chat window. Ensures employee privacy.

Avatar

Enables displaying the consultant’s photo in the chat window.

Avatar Option

Selects the source of the avatar — user profile photo, default icon, or custom image.

Require Customer Data

Requires the customer to provide their first name and/or email address before starting the conversation. Facilitates identification in CRM.

Attachments from Customers

Allows customers to send files (photos, documents) through the chat window.

Automatic Assignment

Automatically assigns the conversation to an available consultant. Without this option, consultants must manually take conversations.

Description

Welcome text displayed to the customer after opening the chat window. You can describe availability hours, topics, etc.

Offline Message

Text displayed when no consultant is available (outside working hours). It may include a form to leave a message.

Language

The language of the widget interface (buttons, system messages).

Working Hours

Defines the availability hours of the chat for each day of the week.

Use Working Hours

Enables limiting chat availability to defined working hours. Outside of hours, an offline message is displayed.

After Hours Messages

Allows customers to send messages outside of working hours. Messages wait for a consultant.

Time Zone

The time zone used to determine the working hours of the widget.
