Receiving Emails - Forwarding Configuration

Sugester receives incoming emails via forwarding. Here's how it works: you set up automatic forwarding from your existing inbox (e.g., in OVH, Gmail) to a special address in Sugester. From that moment on, every email goes to both Sugester and your original inbox.

How it works

The scheme is simple: a client sends an email to your address (e.g., biuro@mojafirma.pl). Your inbox automatically forwards a copy to Sugester. Sugester receives the message and displays it in the Mail module.

We do not use IMAP or POP3 connections — each inbox in Sugester has a unique forwarding address that needs to be set up for forwarding.

Where to find the forwarding address

  1. Go to Settings → Email Inboxes
  2. Click Edit next to the selected inbox
  3. Find the Forwarding Address field
  4. Copy this address — it will be needed in the next step

Configuring forwarding in OVH

  1. Log in to OVH Manager
  2. Go to: Web Cloud → Emails → Your domain → Email accounts
  3. Next to the selected inbox, click ...Manage Forwarding
  4. Click Add Forwarding
  5. Fill in:
    • From address: Your email (e.g., biuro@mojafirma.pl)
    • To address: address copied from Sugester
    • Keep a copy: Yes (recommended — emails will also remain on OVH)
  6. Confirm

Configuring forwarding in Gmail

  1. Open Gmail → click the gear iconSee all settings
  2. Go to the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab
  3. Click Add a forwarding address
  4. Enter the address copied from Sugester and confirm
  5. An email with a confirmation code will be sent to the address in Sugester — click the link or enter the code
  6. Return to Gmail settings and select Forward a copy of incoming mail to...
  7. Save changes

Troubleshooting

Emails are not reaching Sugester:

  • Check if the forwarding address is correct (copy it again)
  • Send a test email and wait a few minutes
  • Check if the forwarding is active in OVH/Gmail
  • Make sure the inbox in Sugester is verified

Emails are delayed:

  • This is normal during the initial setup — propagation can take up to several hours
  • Some systems (e.g., Gmail) process forwarding with a few minutes delay
