Updated at: 3 min read

Bria Solo (formerly X-Lite) is a popular VoIP softphone application available on Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android. Below is the configuration guide for Bria with SuperVoIP.

1. Download and Installation

  1. Go to the Bria Solo website and download the version for your system.
  2. Install the application and create a Bria account (registration required).
  3. Log in to the application.

2. Data Needed for Configuration

Before configuring, prepare the data from the SuperVoIP panel:

  1. Log in to the SuperVoIP panel.
  2. Go to: Virtual PBX -> Workstations
  3. Read the data for your workstation (SIP):
    • SIP Account Number — 7-digit number (e.g., 1290245)
    • SIP Password — password for the SIP account (different from the login password for the panel!)

SuperVoIP server data:

  • Server (Domain): sip.supervoip.pl
  • Port: 5060 (UDP), 5061 (TCP/TLS)
  • Transport: recommended TCP

3. Configuring SIP Account in Bria

Desktop (Windows / Mac)

  1. Open Bria Solo.
  2. Log in to your Bria account at solo.softphone.com.
  3. Select Voice and VideoAdd Voice Configuration.
  4. Choose the option Have your own PBX or SIP Server?
  5. Fill in the fields:
Field Value
Account Name any name (e.g., SuperVoIP)
User ID SIP account number (e.g., 1290245)

  1. Go to the Service Settings tab:
    • Transport: change to TCP
    • Registration time: set to 120
  2. Click Save.

After successful configuration, Bria will show the status Ready — indicating readiness for calls.

Mobile (iOS / Android)

  1. Download Bria Solo from the App Store or Google Play.
  2. Log in to your Bria account.
  3. The SIP configuration will automatically sync with the settings from the web portal (previous step).
  4. On iOS: go to SettingsAccountRegistration Mode and change to Single Device Emulation (ensures correct call notifications).

4. Connection Verification

After configuration:

  1. Check if Bria shows the status Ready (green icon).
  2. Make a test call.
  3. If the status is Not Ready or Registration failed:
    • Check the correctness of the SIP account number and password
    • Ensure that the firewall is not blocking ports 5060-5061
    • Try changing the transport from TCP to UDP
