# Merging clients – how to quickly remove duplicates

The client database is a living organism – sometimes it happens that through data import or manual error in the system, the same companies or individuals appear under different names. To maintain order in the CRM and not lose the history of contacts, Sugester allows you to merge such "duplicates" into one coherent profile.

### How to merge duplicate clients?
The merging process is safe and intuitive. You can perform it directly from the client list:
1. Go to the **CRM** module (4 dots -> CRM -> Clients).
2. Check the checkboxes of the clients you want to merge.
3. After selecting the duplicates, a **Merge clients** button will appear in the upper right corner of the page – click it.

1. In the opened window, a list of selected clients will appear. From the dropdown menu, select the one that will become the **"main client"** (i.e., the one to which the data from the other accounts will be transferred).

1. After indicating the main client, click the blue **Save** button.

### Why is it worth merging clients?
- **One collaboration history:** After merging accounts, the entire history of emails, tasks, notes, and documents from the "secondary clients" will be transferred to the main client's card. This way, you have a complete view of the relationship with a given company in one place.
- **Convenience:** You don't have to switch between tabs to check what was agreed with a given client a week ago – everything is consolidated.
- **Clean database:** You avoid chaos in reporting and statistics because each client is represented in the system only once.

**Important:** Before you click "Save," make sure you have correctly selected the main client. Data from the other accounts will be merged with this one selected profile.

**Tip:** If you have a large database, it is worth regularly reviewing the client list and looking for duplicates (e.g., by the same email address or VAT number). The sooner you merge duplicates, the easier it will be for you to maintain clarity in the work of the entire team!
